Scholarius, founded in the year 2008, aims at building a comprehensive digital repository of unpublished data and reports that can be used by researchers working in any discipline. Scholarius was conceptualised as a research platform for scholars all over the world, who would benefit from the network of academicians and their invaluable research publications.

Since there is always a need for a common repository of research publications, Scholarius came into being, with the sole aim of accessibility. We are interested in making maximum use of the technological developments that allow research publications to be stored and accessed in a digitalized format, thereby ensuring that all documentation is done and retained in its original form. Working in tandem with the academic community to preserve their work and the materials they rely upon, Scholarius is confident of building a strong network that could promote the discovery and use of these resources.

One of the focal areas of Scholarius is to facilitate inter-disciplinary exploration and study, a need that is fast becoming an important one today. Since we have explored and recorded this requirement, all possible steps have been taken to ensure that Scholarius will act as a bridge between those who would like to showcase their research in peer-reviewed journals and those who are keen on making use of this vast repository of knowledge.

With the involvement and active support of the international academic community, Scholarius aims to create an outstanding repository for preserving more than one million PhD theses, research reports and other hitherto, unpublished data in a digital format. We will continue to consistently expand access to scholarly works and other materials needed for research and teaching, globally.

We are confident that with the sustained interaction of the global academia, Scholarius will continue to grow as an easy-to-access workplace for scholars of all disciplines.
