Do I have to be a Member to use the services of Scholarius?

CategoriesYes. As a member you can upload and download documents on this portal. As a Guest to the site, you can only go through the complete contents of the repository/archive, but you cannot upload or download a document.

Is there a limit on the size of the document that I need to upload?

CategoriesYes. You cannot upload a document which is more than 100 MB. In case you have a document that is more than 100 MB, please get in touch with us and we will give you further guidance on the issue.

Are there any limitations on the quantum of data I want to upload?

CategoriesNo. Want to upload 2GB or 200GB, please upload.

Are there limitations on the number of documents I want to upload?

CategoriesNo. You can uload any number of documents.

Can I upload another person’s research publications as well?

CategoriesYes. If there are no Copyright restrictions.

Can I upload articles of peer-reviewed journals?

CategoriesYes you can. Alternatively, you can also check the copyright restrictions for each article you would like to reposit/upload by using the SHERPA/RoMEO database and thus, ensure that you are not infringing any agreement signed.

Can I upload articles that I have co-authored?

CategoriesYes, and inform your co-authors about the upload of such articles, so that they are also aware of the services provided by Scholarius.

Do I have to read the INSTRUCTIONS first, before uploading documents?

CategoriesYes, that way it will give you a nice feeling of being an authority on this portal.

Can I upload a Word Document, if NO - What are the alternatives?

CategoriesPresently we are allowing only PDF file formats. Maybe in the future other file formats will be allowed to be archived. Please bear with us for a few days.

What are the nomenclatural rules of Scholarius pertaining to a file?

CategoriesNone. You upload the document and we will name it appropriately.

In what way is Scholarius different from other Institutional Repositories?

CategoriesScholarius is a complete Open Source cum Open Access Repository. Many institutional repositories may not give you access to DOWNLOAD their documents. There could be a lot of restrictions. Also you cannot upload your document. That is where Scholarius steps in to remove this lacuna.
